As part of his unwavering commitment to the well-being of the Malian people, General Assimi GOÏTA, President of the Transition and Head of State, continues to carry out impactful social initiatives across the country. One of the key priorities of his action is to ensure sustainable access to clean drinking water—a vital resource for every citizen.
In line with this vision, on Thursday, April 17, 2025, a delegation from the Presidency, led by Special Advisor Mr. Aguibou DEMBÉLÉ, inaugurated two new boreholes. These water facilities were established in Banconi (Kognoumani neighborhood) and Dialakorodji Médine, two areas where water needs were particularly urgent.
The inauguration ceremonies brought together local authorities, community leaders, and representatives of women and youth, all gathered to express their deep appreciation to the President of the Transition. Emotions ran high and the gratitude was sincere—for many, these boreholes represent more than just access to water; they are a fulfilled promise.
In his speech, Mr. Aguibou DEMBÉLÉ emphasized that this initiative reflects President Assimi GOÏTA’s strong determination to support vulnerable populations. Since the beginning of his mandate, the President has dedicated two-thirds of his sovereign fund to concrete social actions.
“The President acts for the people, with the people,” the Special Advisor affirmed. He also called on the beneficiaries to maintain and safeguard these facilities, which symbolize a presidential solidarity that goes beyond words.
Month after month, these achievements are multiplying across the nation, reflecting the vision of a more just Mali—one where every citizen is entitled to a life of dignity. Clean water is no longer a luxury, but a right that General Assimi GOÏTA is striving to guarantee for all.
