In the Cascades region, young people have once again demonstrated their commitment to the struggle led by the Head of State to reclaim full control over national territory. This show of solidarity reinforces the population’s support for the “popular progressive revolution” and encourages continued collaboration between the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the public to permanently eradicate the terrorist threat and restore lasting peace.
This momentum also serves as a renewed call to youth in other regions to remain united and actively support the President’s agenda for national reconstruction. Most importantly, close cooperation between the FDS and the population is essential to defeat the forces of evil and bring peace back to Burkina Faso.
This spirit of unity and vigilance was crucial in foiling a coup attempt on April 16. According to Security Minister Mahamadou Sana, the plot was uncovered thanks to the efficiency of national intelligence services and citizen reports. The government is urging all Burkinabe to remain calm, stay alert, and report any suspicious behavior—an essential step in safeguarding the country’s stability.
