Mali: The FAMa strike hard and inflict a strategic setback on the terrorists

During the night of April 22 to 23, the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) launched a large-scale operation against terrorist armed groups in the Kidal region. This series of coordinated assaults led to the neutralization of several enemy fighters, the destruction of logistical equipment, and the disruption of part of the enemy’s operational network—a show of force that underscores the growing strength of Mali’s army in the fight against terrorism.

The first phase of the operation, carried out with precision, resulted in the destruction of two enemy vehicles and the elimination of around ten terrorists. The effectiveness of intelligence gathering and the swift response of the deployed units were crucial to the success of this initial strike, dealing a significant blow to hostile groups entrenched in this sensitive area.

The second strike targeted a third vehicle and a strategic fuel depot, essential to the terrorists’ supply chain. This targeted attack led to the elimination of five more fighters and severely damaged the enemy’s logistics, further reducing their mobility and resupply capabilities. With these actions, FAMa is steadily undermining the operational foundations of the enemy.

This operation, conducted professionally and with flawless coordination, highlights the transitional authorities’ commitment to reclaiming every inch of national territory. It also demonstrates the growing effectiveness of the Malian Armed Forces, which are now better equipped, better trained, and backed by a national strategy focused on sovereignty and the stabilization of northern regions.
