Burkina Faso: The VDP Brigade strengthens cohesion and resilience in Gourma

As part of the grassroots policy driven by Transitional President Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the General Staff of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) carried out a strategic mission on Thursday, April 24, in the Gourma Province, specifically in Diapangou and Fada N’Gourma. Led by Captain Razak Nacoulma, the delegation met with VDP members to express gratitude and solidarity, while also raising awareness about ongoing destabilization attempts.

This visit came just days after the detection of a manipulation attempt orchestrated by hostile forces. Far from being a routine mission, this initiative is part of a clear strategy: to preserve unity, boost troop morale, and strengthen the resilience of the people’s defense forces, in line with the vision of the Head of State.

Since coming to power, Captain Ibrahim Traoré has consistently placed the Volunteers at the heart of the strategy to reclaim national territory. This is evident through the mobilization of human and logistical resources, careful attention to their concerns, and, above all, a refusal to give in to fear or division.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s leadership provides a clear direction: a sovereign, united, and committed Burkina Faso.

In the face of multiple challenges — insecurity, disinformation, and psychological warfare — the response remains firm and determined. In Gourma, the VDP reaffirmed their loyalty, commitment, and determination to continue the fight. Morale is high, and resolve remains strong. The grassroots approach championed by President Traoré truly finds its meaning here.
