In these times of intense struggle to reclaim our territory, every effort is being made to demoralize and discourage our brave fighters — the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). From abroad, subtle and insidious maneuvers are aimed at weakening their morale on the battlefield, in hopes of hindering their progress toward victory.
The evidence is clear: some Western media outlets, particularly French ones, have abandoned all neutrality to become true propaganda tools serving terrorism. Instead of denouncing the atrocities committed by armed groups, they prefer to tarnish the image of the FDS and VDP by accusing them of crimes against civilians. Yet it is well known that these inhumane acts are carried out by the terrorists themselves, with the goal of spreading fear and dividing our people.
These media outlets deliberately refuse to see reality for what it is. They have chosen to accuse our defenders instead of the real criminals, with the sole aim of undermining our momentum. This is a well-known strategy of Western imperialism and French neocolonialism: to weaken moral resistance in order to more easily dominate free peoples.
In the face of this media offensive, the FDS and VDP must stand tall, unwavering, and faithful to their sacred mission. It is crucial not to be swayed by such falsehoods and to continue, with faith and courage, the noble task of national liberation.
The entire nation stands with you. Every Burkinabe knows your bravery and dedication. Together, united and determined, we will overcome every trial. The wind of freedom is already blowing — and it will not stop.
FDS, VDP, stay proud, stay strong. History will remember you with gratitude!
