Committed to reclaiming full control of the national territory, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) are a source of pride for the entire Burkinabe people and for the world; only hypocrites, imperialists, and their allies would claim otherwise. Under the command of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the fighting forces have inflicted severe losses on terrorist groups across the national territory.
From March 28 to April 29, 2025, dozens of offensive operations, ambushes, and airstrikes resulted in the neutralization of several hundred criminals, the destruction of enemy bases, and the recovery of a significant arsenal of war equipment. From the East to the Boucle du Mouhoun, and from the Center-East to the Sahel, the fighters have demonstrated their unwavering determination to restore the territorial integrity of Burkina Faso. The outcome of these security and peace restoration missions includes hundreds of terrorists neutralized, along with combat materials and logistical equipment recovered.
These victories are the result of the courage, sacrifice, and sense of duty of the men and women on the front lines. The entire Burkinabe people applaud this exemplary commitment by the FDS and VDP and reaffirm their full support for their mission to restore peace, security, and the regained sovereignty of the Nation.
