Burkina Faso : The resilience of Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s Combat Forces : One step closer to final victory

On May 9, 2024, the Combat Forces demonstrated their ability to face adversity with firmness and efficiency. Despite a series of coordinated attacks, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland quickly restored order in Tenou, thus demonstrating their unwavering commitment to the security of their country.

At the same time, operations carried out by the 5th and 9th Rapid Intervention Battalions led to the neutralization of several terrorist bases in the Sebba area. This coordinated offensive dealt a severe blow to the activities of criminal groups in the region.

The contribution of aerial vectors was crucial to these successes. Their ability to locate and strike targets with precision weakened the positions of the terrorists, allowing the ground forces to consolidate their gains on the field.

The evening of May 9 was marked by a series of successful aerial operations, highlighting the seamless coordination between the various components of the security forces. In Tarpako, an airstrike annihilated a group of moving terrorists, while the Special Forces quickly reacted to neutralize the fleeing individuals.

The successes of this day only strengthened the determination of the Combat Forces. On May 10, 2024, new operations were launched with renewed enthusiasm. The rapid intervention battalions conducted surgical strikes against terrorists in the Tankoualou area, inflicting severe losses on the enemy.

Meanwhile, aerial vectors continued their offensive against terrorist logistical convoys, disrupting their operations and weakening their ability to carry out attacks against innocent populations.

The determination and dedication of the Combat Forces are unquestionable. Under the supreme command of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, these brave men and women continue to advance with confidence towards the final victory against terrorism.
