Togo / President Faure Gnassingbé in Seoul for the first Korea-Africa Summit: A step towards expanding Togo-Korea partnerships
The participation of the President of the Republic of Togo, H.E. Mr. Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, in the first Korea-Africa Summit in Seoul marks another milestone in his policy of diversifying international partnerships. Invited by his South Korean counterpart, Yoon Suk-yeol, President Gnassingbé seized this opportunity to reaffirm Togo’s commitment to international cooperation and strengthening ties with South Korea.
Under the theme “The Future We Build Together: Shared Growth, Sustainability, and Solidarity”, this summit provides a platform to reaffirm mutual commitment to strengthening cooperation and promoting sustainable prosperity. The participation of several African Heads of State and leaders highlighted the importance given to this initiative, demonstrating the collective willingness to build strong and mutually beneficial partnerships.
For Togo, which has maintained multifaceted cooperation with South Korea since 1963, this meeting holds particular significance.
