Tour Togo 2024: Top start for competitive cyclists

The 29th edition of the Tour cycliste of Togo started this Monday 03 June 2024 in Lomé, for a week of racing. For the first time, the Togo Cycling Tour is reportedly being organised by a local partner, including “UK & PARTNERS”, a communications and marketing consultancy, in collaboration with the Togolese Cycling Federation (FTC).

The 2024 International Cycling Tour of Togo will take place in six stages with the participation of a dozen teams from seven countries: Benin, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, France and Mali. The route will take the peloton to Kpalimé, Mango, Kara, Pagouda, Sokodé, Sotouboua, Atakpamé with a closed circuit Vogan-Aného-Lomé.

More than 700 kilometres to cover in the heat. Several jerseys are on the line for this new edition of the Tour du Togo. These include the jersey of the overall classification of the duel, the individual jersey by points, the intermediate sprint jersey and the jersey of the best youngster (yellow jersey).

Other honorary jerseys will also be distributed throughout the competition, including the jersey of the longest competitive breakaway and the Ducreux jersey, which aims to pay tribute to the late Francis Ducreux, one of the promoters of the Tour International du Togo.
