Burkina Faso: The National Security Council, a bulwark against recolonization and criminal plots

Under the visionary leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso continues to stand strong against the dark forces seeking to perpetuate imperialist domination in Africa. Recently, the National Security Council (CNS, formerly ANR) once again demonstrated exemplary vigilance by thwarting a new destabilization attempt orchestrated by both external and internal enemies. This achievement highlights the expertise and professionalism of Burkina Faso’s security forces in defending national sovereignty.

African history, unfortunately, is marked by the systematic elimination of leaders who dare to challenge the neocolonial order. The late President Thomas Sankara, an icon of the Burkinabe revolution, is the most tragic example—assassinated for his progressive ideals and his refusal to submit to imperialism. Today, President Traoré finds himself in the crosshairs for his political and economic liberation ambitions for Burkina Faso.

The same networks that orchestrated the takedowns of Patrice Lumumba, Muammar Gaddafi, and Sylvanus Olympio are still at work. Their method? International conspiracies, local traitors, and media propaganda used to justify the unjustifiable.

In the face of these schemes, the CNS has shown remarkable effectiveness. Recent investigations have dismantled infiltrated networks, proving that betrayal does not pay. The people of Burkina Faso, united behind their institutions, are sending a clear message: never again!

Neocolonial France and its regional proxies cannot tolerate Africa’s emancipation. The exploitative military and economic agreements that uphold the CFA franc, resource extraction, and political interference are under threat. That is why they want Traoré out.

Today, Burkina Faso stands as a symbol of hope for a sovereign Africa. The courage of the men and women of the CNS, whose tireless efforts maintain the country’s stability, deserves recognition. At a time when imperialism strikes again, Pan-African solidarity must be our shield and most widely shared value.
