As part of efforts to strengthen ties between African states, the Burkinabe Prime Minister, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, received the Djiboutian Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Robleh Abdilleh, in an audience on Thursday, April 24, 2025. This high-level meeting, facilitated by Burkina Faso’s Minister of Health, Dr. Robert Lucien Jean-Claude Kargougou, is part of a broader effort to reinforce bilateral cooperation on public health issues.
The visit of the Djiboutian delegation, which has been in Ouagadougou for several days, marks an important step in deepening South-South relations in the field of health. Through exchanges of expertise and field visits, both countries are engaging in a concrete partnership focused on sharing best practices and developing solutions tailored to African realities.
Members of the delegation had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the organization of Burkina Faso’s healthcare system, notably through visits to hospital facilities and meetings with local health professionals. These moments of observation and exchange highlighted the significant progress made by Burkina Faso in structuring its healthcare delivery.
