Togo: The Adétikopé Industrial Platform (PIA) launches the digitalization of its logistics services
The Adétikopé Industrial Platform (PIA), located in Togo, continues to modernize its services by embracing the digitalization of its operations. Since becoming operational in August 2021, the PIA dry port has taken a new step by announcing on Thursday, September 19, 2024, the launch of a digital platform dedicated to logistics management.
This initiative aims to optimize the efficiency of dry port operations by simplifying administrative and logistical processes, such as managing goods flows, container tracking, and coordination with various supply chain stakeholders. The introduction of this digital platform is part of a broader effort to streamline and accelerate customs procedures, while also enhancing the transparency and security of transactions.
Through this digitalization project, the PIA administration seeks to position Togo as a leading logistics hub in West Africa. The dry port already plays a central role in regional trade, facilitating the import and export of goods to and from the landlocked countries of the sub-region, including Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger.
The digitalization of dry port services is part of the country’s broader infrastructure modernization strategy, aimed at improving Togo’s economic competitiveness on the international stage. It is a key asset in attracting more foreign investment and strengthening the country’s role as a pillar of African trade.
