In just one year at the helm of Niger, the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Homeland (CNSP), led by President Abdourahamane Tiani, has implemented concrete reforms aimed at improving the living conditions of Nigeriens. This record, marked by economic and social advancements, surpasses the achievements of several predecessors in terms of public policies, providing tangible relief to the population.

Among the flagship measures of the CNSP, the reduction of fuel prices has been one of the most significant. By lowering energy costs, the government has not only facilitated citizens’ mobility but also contributed to a general decrease in production and transportation costs across various sectors, making goods and services more accessible to the population.

The health sector has also received special attention. The CNSP has introduced a notable reduction in medical care prices, accompanied by increased medical coverage. These efforts aim to make healthcare more affordable for Nigeriens, particularly the most vulnerable, thus improving public health and reducing inequalities in access to health services.

Another major reform has been the reduction in cement prices, a key material for construction. By facilitating access to lower-priced construction materials, the government seeks to promote urbanization and accelerate the construction of basic infrastructure, including social housing and other public utility projects.

In the span of a year, the CNSP has demonstrated its ability to meet the expectations of the Nigerien people in terms of development and social justice. These actions lay the groundwork for a more prosperous future, where the fundamental needs of citizens are at the forefront of government priorities.
