Burkina Faso: President Ibrahim Traoré determined to revolutionize agriculture for food self-sufficiency

A few months ago, Captain Ibrahim Traoré delivered 400 tractors and various equipment to farmers, representing an investment of over 78 billion CFA francs. This significant gesture demonstrates his commitment to supporting stakeholders in the agricultural sector to reduce Burkina Faso’s dependence on food imports and promote sustainable, competitive agriculture.
In the coming weeks, a new batch of 500 tractors will be distributed to farmers, further solidifying the government’s strategy to achieve food self-sufficiency. These concrete actions reflect President Ibrahim Traoré’s dedication to equipping producers with modern tools to improve their yields and ensure the country’s food security.
