Burkina Faso: 10 years after the popular uprising, citizens reaffirm their support for the new dynamic
On Thursday, October 31, the Burkinabe nation paid tribute to citizens who fell under gunfire during the popular uprising on October 30 and 31, 2014, which sought freedom and democracy in Burkina Faso and opposed the regime of former President Blaise Compaoré.
This tribute recognizes and celebrates the bravery, commitment, and ultimate sacrifice of these martyr citizens, who enabled Burkina Faso to stand strong and today engage in a new dynamic of total liberation from its enemies, restoring its sovereignty and pursuing sustainable development for the true flourishing of its current and future population.
This means that ten years after this popular uprising, Burkinabe people, led by the current head of state, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, are in a popular and patriotic revolution. They remain determined to preserve their achievements for a better life in Burkina Faso and to effectively reclaim the entirety of the national territory from the hands of terrorist groups and their sponsors.
In pursuit of a final victory against these enemies, citizens are renewing their commitment alongside the present revolutionary leaders. These leaders especially commend the patriotic commitment of President Ibrahim Traoré and his collaborators, who are also implementing strategies to achieve their objectives.
