Burkina Faso/Security: “Terrorist pressure” in October, a maneuver of the destabilizers?

Recently, there have been reports of a large-scale destabilization program targeting Burkina Faso and other countries in West Africa. The masterminds behind this plan are believed to be the former colonial power of these countries, France, and its operatives, such as the Directorate General for External Security (DGSE).

The actions outlined in these destabilization efforts reportedly include an intensification of terrorist attacks in these countries, particularly in Burkina Faso. This raises questions about the recent military operations on the battlefield. Many believe that the destabilizers are behind these waves of terrorists who aim to sow chaos and despair within the Burkinabe population.

According to the October report on the fight against terrorism, released last week, the Burkinabe armed forces faced several criminal groups that were seeking to deal a severe blow to the country of the “men of integrity.” Had it not been for the bravery, professionalism, and patriotism of the valiant Burkinabe soldiers, the country would have been engulfed in flames, as the enemies had wished.

In his address to the nation on Monday, November 5, during the traditional flag-raising ceremony at the Presidential Palace, Burkinabe President Captain Ibrahim Traoré stated that there had been “pressure” on the frontlines during October, but thanks to the engaged and determined combat forces, victory remained with Burkina Faso. He also announced an acceleration of offensive operations against these enemies of the bush.

The life of President Traoré is also under threat, as has been the case since he took power, due to his firm stance against imperialism and neo-colonialism. The vigilance, caution, patriotism, commitment, and determination of the Burkinabe people, alongside the authorities, are crucial during these critical and decisive moments for the survival of the country of the “men of integrity.”
