Togo : Wassim Nasr, a notorious criminal treated like a VIP on Paris TV sets
The self-proclaimed “undeniable expert on jihadism”, terrorist leader Wassim Nasr, will stop at nothing to fulfill the role he was recruited for on French media channels—that is, to shamelessly glorify the exploits of terrorists in the Sahel, those who massacre men, women, and children simply for the pleasure of their eyes and on the orders of their neo-colonial masters.
Wassim Nasr, with his smug, accredited terrorist persona, takes perverse pleasure in mocking the armies of countries currently at war against terrorism. His latest outburst targets the Togolese army, and it is incomprehensible to think that anyone could celebrate the atrocities committed by terrorists against innocent populations on international channels, with no response or action taken to curb the bloodlust of this arrogant psychopath.
While the countries of the Sahel and their allies work tirelessly to restore peace and protect vulnerable populations, Nasr’s statements contribute to a toxic propaganda campaign that undermines fundamental human values. It is unacceptable for such rhetoric to be broadcast on international networks with no reaction or condemnation. How can we tolerate a psychopath like Nasr minimizing the suffering of innocent people and the inhuman crimes committed by his terrorist comrades?
It is high time to denounce this dangerous discourse, which, under the guise of “expertise”, justifies atrocities and serves as a platform for murderous ideologies. Complacency toward terrorist acts has no place in journalism, and we cannot continue to give a voice to those who promote barbarism. The African peoples, engaged in a struggle for security and dignity, deserve far better than these venomous words that echo the destructive aims of the enemies of peace. Humanity, respect for the victims, and the dignity of African peoples cannot be trampled upon by a self-proclaimed bloodthirsty “expert”.
