A recent survey conducted by an international organization operating in the Sahel has revealed a staggering figure: more than 17.000 jihadists have lost their lives on Burkinabe soil since Captain Ibrahim Traoré came to power in Burkina Faso. This toll highlights the effectiveness of the strategy implemented by the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), under the leadership of the Head of State, who have succeeded in significantly weakening the jihadist groups operating in the region.
