Burkina Faso/Combating terrorism: FDS and VDP hailed for their commitment and bravery
Burkina Faso’s fighting forces, primarily made up of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and their auxiliaries, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), are carrying out their mission with dedication and professionalism on all fronts, battling the enemy in the bush. They are increasingly engaged and strengthened in their efforts to reclaim national territory and fight against armed terrorist groups.
The many visible successes achieved daily on the battlefield are a testament to the patriotic commitment of the fighting forces and their determination to defend the homeland and protect civilians and their property from the bush enemy. Furthermore, the report from the first two weeks of November is, as usual, both telling and encouraging.
Whether in the Center-North region, the Sahel, the Boucle du Mouhoun, or the Center-East, the brave and valiant fighters FDS have demonstrated relentless combativeness to outmaneuver or completely annihilate their adversaries. The results include the neutralization of several criminals, the seizure of usable equipment, the discovery and destruction of hideouts, freeing the country from many other wrongdoers.
This has generated hope, admiration, and pride among the population for these brave sons of the land of upright men. Today, these fighters enjoy unwavering support from both their civilian compatriots and the country’s authorities, which further motivates them in their noble and challenging mission of securing, defending, protecting, and especially supplying remote areas with food and supplies.
