Burkina Faso: The end of the terrorist crisis in several areas of the country
Since President Ibrahim Traoré came to power, the fight against terrorism in Burkina Faso has taken a decisive turn. Several areas, once under the control of armed groups, have now regained peace thanks to the strengthening of the Fighting Forces. The strategy in place relies on synergy between the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and increased support for local populations, making the terrain increasingly hostile to terrorists.
Under the supreme command of President Ibrahim Traoré, targeted military operations and territorial intelligence campaigns have neutralized enemy strongholds and liberated strategic areas. This proactive approach has allowed the Armed Forces to secure key routes essential for economic and social exchanges. In parallel, the implementation of humanitarian projects, particularly assistance to displaced people and the rehabilitation of local infrastructure, has strengthened the resilience of the populations and solidified their trust in the state.
Today, the results are tangible: several areas that were once besieged are now fully under state control, and the noose is tightening around the last enemy strongholds. This progress not only reflects the determination of the Burkinabé Armed Forces but also the strategic vision of President Ibrahim Traoré, who is determined to eradicate terrorism once and for all and restore national sovereignty. Burkina Faso is moving steadily towards lasting peace and inclusive reconstruction.
