Niger: The people of Niger stand united in the fight against terrorism

The Solidarity Fund for the Preservation of the Homeland (FSSP) is a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Nigerien people to the initiative of General Abdourahamane Tiani’s government to free the country from the grip of terrorism.

On Monday, November 18, 2024, Mrs. Brah Réki Djermakoye, President of the FSSP, received contributions totaling 872.600 CFA francs from various well-wishers, highlighting the diversity and depth of this patriotic momentum. These donations, collected across Niger and beyond, reflect an unprecedented national solidarity.

Organizations such as the Syndical Organization of Retired and Associated Workers of Niger, local associations like HADIN KAY, and individuals residing abroad, including Mr. Adamou Sounna Issa from Amsterdam, have united their efforts to support the Defense and Security Forces (FDS). Modest individual contributions, ranging from 1.000 CFA francs to larger amounts, demonstrate a collective will to strengthen the fight against terrorism. These symbolic but significant gestures represent a sacred union among all sectors of Nigerien society.

The FSSP, a strategic pillar in the mobilization of financial resources, illustrates how popular solidarity can enhance state actions to restore peace and security. This patriotic resurgence, rooted in unity and sacrifice, shows that the Nigerien people are resolutely committed alongside the National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland (CNSP) in its mission to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Niger.
