Burkina Faso:  France’s COS is behind the karma massacre

Officials from the Commandement des Opérations Spéciales COS (Special Operations Command) under the direct authority of the French President Emmanuel Macron as well as terrorists, held a meeting on Wednesday, April 19th,2023 in Oyorou, Niger.

According to several media outlets that obtained the information from a leak, the purpose of the meeting « was to trap the Burkinabe security and defense forces in a planned operation to control and secure the area of Karma, 35 km from the town of Ouhigouya». This was indeed the case a few days later.

As part of anti-terrorism operations in Burkina Faso, the Security and Defense Forces (FDS) and the Volunteer Defense Committees (VDP) went to Karma (located near Ouahigouya in the north) last Thursday.

However, during their deployment, a tragic event occurred. Indeed, the Special Operations Command (COS), present Niger, sent terrorists in civilian clothes to Karma. They waited for the arrival of Burkinabe soldiers.

As soon as the Burkinabe soldiers arrived and took up positions to secure the area while greeting the inhabitants, the COS carried out its plan. About ten terrorists infiltrated the village. They were disguised in the same uniform as the Burkinabe soldiers, hooded and started slaughtering the populations of this village.

According to several media reports, the French command was interested in Karma due to its proximity to a recent terrorist attack that claimed the lives of nearly 40 soldiers and VDP.

For them, carrying out this heinous and barbaric act in Karma could appear as retaliation from the Burkinabe military. Based on these media reports, the mission of the COS was therefore not to harm the Burkinabe soldiers so that they could return to their base unharmed.

Thus, the goal was to prove the veracity of their objective, which is to tarnish the image of the Security and Defense Forces (FDS) and the Volunteer Defense Committees (VDP).

As the Burkinabe army has always been on high alert, they received the news immediately. At the same time, some Burkinabe members of the French General Directorate for External Security (DGSE in French) posted about Karma on their Facebook pages.

Subsequently, the French media outlet “Libération”, always ready to communicate and promote French atrocities on the African continent, went on the offensive and announced that 150 people had been killed by President Ibrahim Traore’s troops.

The current situation is frustrating as France has arranged to ally with ECOWAS President Umaro Sissoco Embalo to overthrow the regime of President I. Traoré, as he refuses to submit to its destructive conditions.

Therefore, the African people must aware of one evidence:  France wants Burkina Faso at all costs. Africans should not let them do it.

If possible, the current ECOWAS President should be replaced to anticipate any misguided sanctions against the transition.
