Mali: H.E. Assimi GOÏTA inaugurates the Goulamina lithium mine, an opportunity for the national economy
The President of the Transition, His Excellency Army General Assimi GOÏTA, marked a key milestone in Mali’s economic development with the inauguration of the Goulamina lithium mine, located in the Bougouni region. This event provided the Head of State with an opportunity to meet with local customary and administrative authorities to discuss the impact of this ambitious project on the national economy and regional development.
In his speech, General Assimi GOÏTA emphasized the strategic importance of the Goulamina lithium mine for Mali. This project, which positions the country on the map of global lithium producers, opens up promising economic prospects, particularly in terms of local employment and infrastructure development. “Owning lithium and having a mine dedicated to its exploitation is a real opportunity. This factory is the heritage of all Malians and will benefit our people”, he proudly declared.
