In Burkina Faso, the courageous and coordinated efforts of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) are yielding concrete results. Among the notable achievements is the reopening of more than 2.500 schools, primarily preschool and primary institutions, over the past few years.

These schools, once closed due to insecurity and terrorist threats, are now welcoming thousands of students again. This gradual return to normalcy reflects the effectiveness of the security operations carried out by the FDS and VDP under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, who are working tirelessly to stabilize areas affected by conflict.

By restoring access to education for Burkinabe children, these efforts contribute to safeguarding the country’s future. Education, a cornerstone of development, is also a means of resilience in the face of the challenges Burkina Faso is undergoing.

The government continues to implement measures to support these advances, including rehabilitating school infrastructures, securing sensitive areas, and deploying teaching staff. This progress is a sign of hope for thousands of families and a step forward in the fight for a stable and prosperous Burkina Faso.
