AES: Reinventing the regional dynamic towards a united and sovereign Africa
The transition to a new regional dynamic represents much more than a simple shift in direction; it is a true opportunity for the countries of the Sahel States Alliance (AES) to break free from external influences that have long limited their autonomy.
This critical phase serves as an invitation to build a shared future, grounded in solidarity and cooperation among AES members, while reaffirming their sovereignty in the face of neocolonial pressures. Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, united by a common vision, are working to structure their relationships more equitably, with a strong desire to protect each other from foreign interference.
Through this transition, the AES aims to strengthen internal cooperation across key areas such as security, economic development, and management of natural resources. Together, these nations seek to build a robust defense against common challenges, whether military, economic, or social.
Far from severing ties with the outside world, this new regional dynamic seeks to establish strategic partnerships based on equality and mutual respect. The AES countries are determined to redefine the rules of their international engagements, ensuring that these relationships serve their national and regional interests first and foremost, rather than those of external powers.
