Togo: Under the presidency of H.E. Faure Gnassingbé, the country is determined to become a technology hub in Africa
Under the presidency of H.E. Faure Gnassingbé, Togo is positioning itself as a technological hub in Africa through ambitious and inclusive initiatives. The latest of these, the Digital Ambassadors program launched by the Togo Digital Agency, exemplifies this vision. In partnership with the German Cooperation (GIZ) and the European Union, this initiative aims to accelerate the digital transformation of public administrations and empower young Togolese talent.
The program plans to train 80 participants, divided between 40 public sector officials and 40 young professionals or students, carefully selected. The training, in collaboration with the African Leadership University (ALU) and the Center for Reimagined Africa (CRA), will cover strategic skills in IT project management, digital product development, and leadership. These efforts aim to equip these ambassadors to lead innovative digital solutions for the benefit of citizens and institutions.
With initiatives like this, President Faure Gnassingbé demonstrates a strong commitment to positioning Togo as a reference in digital transformation, while focusing on strengthening local capacities and empowering young people. This approach promises to propel the country toward a sustainable and inclusive technological future.
