Togo: President Faure Gnassingbé, a resolute leader for national security and stability
President Faure Gnassingbé continues to demonstrate his unwavering commitment to the security and stability of Togo. Under his leadership, the Togolese Armed Forces (FAT) stand out for their patriotism, professionalism, and loyalty.
During the presentation of their Annual Report on January 13, 2025, the FAT praised the reforms and structural programs initiated by the head of state, particularly the structural and systemic adjustments to the defense apparatus in response to new threats. These initiatives allow the military institution to better address current security challenges while strengthening the resilience and security of communities, especially in the Savanes region.
President Gnassingbé reaffirmed his determination to modernize the armed forces to increase their operational and strategic capacities, despite economic constraints. This constant support is reflected in major investments in military equipment and training programs, as well as a holistic approach to national security. In return, the FAT, through the voice of their Chief of Staff, General Dimini Allaharé, renewed their loyalty and commitment to bravely and honorably defend the territorial integrity of Togo.
In congratulating the FAT for their bravery, the President of the Republic urged the various components of the military to maintain constant vigilance. President Faure Gnassingbé embodies a clear vision for the security of Togo, combining the modernization of the military and the consolidation of peace to ensure the protection of the population and the harmonious development of the country.
