Within the Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), it is a matter of trust and shared aspirations between leaders and their people, emphasized the Tunisian Pan-Africanist in response to the popular demonstrations of January 28 observed in various locations in the member countries of the AES. For her, the presence of the authorities alongside the demonstrators is a testament to the strong bonds between them.

In matters related to sovereignty, dignity, and freedom, the authorities of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, along with their peoples, speak the same language, she stated. Indeed, during the extraordinary popular mobilization in Ouagadougou, one could see the presence of Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, government members, as well as the president of the National Commission of the Confederation of the States of the Alliance of Sahel States (CN-AES), Bassolma Bazié, and his collaborators.

In Niamey, the demonstration also saw the effective presence of authorities, notably Nigerien government members, as well as in Bamako. They joined their voices with the demonstrators to celebrate the victory, one year after the break with ECOWAS. According to Chafia CHOUCHEN, this reflects the unity and solidarity among the sons and daughters of the Sahel, as well as their shared thirst for sovereignty and liberation from neo-colonial control.

For other Pan-Africanists, the many positive outcomes achieved in all priority sectors were made possible thanks to the people who remained united and steadfast behind their leaders. They understood the stakes of the struggle and have firmly committed to achieving the goals for their own well-being.
