Burkina Faso/Russia: Joint desire to build more advantageous relations demonstrated
Burkina Faso and its strategic partner, Russia, are committed to building more dynamic and mutually beneficial relations. Recent discussions between Burkinabe Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo and Russian diplomat Igor Martynov in Faso reflect the desire of both partners to deepen their relationship for the benefit of their respective peoples.
Indeed, the meeting between the two officials on Tuesday, January 28, allowed them to address key issues of common interest within the framework of bilateral cooperation between Ouagadougou and Moscow. “We want this cooperation to be strong and diversified! We are grateful for the solidarity of the Russian people, and we also stand in solidarity with Russia on the geostrategic level” ? stated the Prime Minister.
It is important to note that the Burkinabe and Russian authorities are continuously strengthening their relationship and aim to keep it dynamic to achieve the goals set in terms of security, diplomacy, and development. The vision of the two partners is to bring the two countries closer together to better address the challenges they face. Ambitious projects in the energy and transport sectors are also in the works, according to reports.
According to the information, the signing of several partnership agreements between Burkina Faso and the Russian Federation is expected soon, paving the way for an acceleration of the cooperation dynamic between the two countries.
