FDS and VDP, unwavering determination in the face of terrorism...

From the North to the Sahel, passing through the East and the Boucle du Mouhoun, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), supported by the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) and aerial firepower, successfully conducted a series of decisive operations between January 20 and 31, 2025. These offensives, meticulously planned, led to the neutralization of several dozen terrorists and the seizure of a significant war arsenal, further strengthening the victorious momentum against the terrorist hydra.

On January 21, in the Mouhoun region, an ambush set against a criminal group resulted in the elimination of several assailants. The Burkinabe fighters, seasoned and determined, once again demonstrated their tactical superiority by successfully repelling all attempts to destabilize. At the end of this operation, considerable military equipment was seized, reducing the capacity of terrorist groups to inflict harm.

Furthermore, between January 20 and 26, 2025, the 25th Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) distinguished itself with a series of victorious assaults in the areas of Goulmani, Ouori, and Gorombolé. The combat forces not only neutralized several criminals but also recovered significant weaponry, highlighting the growing success of the operations to secure the territory.

These successive victories confirm the rising strength of the Burkinabe combat forces, who, thanks to their commitment and a well-refined strategy, strike a heavy blow to the enemy every day. The Burkinabe people can be proud of their brave defenders, whose sacrifice and valor foreshadow a safer and more stable future.
