Nigerien authorities, led by President of the CNSP, Brigadier General Abdourahamane TIANI, can always count on their compatriots from the Maradi region in central Niger. During a meeting that gathered thousands of citizens from this region, organizations, which are none other than the members of the regional collective of civil society organizations and trade unions for the preservation of the Homeland, reaffirmed their support for the authorities.

They expressed their full commitment to the ideals of the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Homeland (CNSP) and reiterated their dedication to the legitimate and historic struggle for the sovereignty, freedom, and development of the Nigerien nation. Aware of the harm caused by the domination of external powers over their country, Nigerien citizens, passionate about freedom, continue to praise the authorities’ decisions to protect the country from any external influence or interference.

The event was also an opportunity for the organizers to draw the attention of their compatriots to disinformation campaigns aimed at demobilizing citizens and hindering the momentum of solidarity and unity that promotes a more effective fight against the enemies of the country. “The temptations are enormous, the maneuvers are insidious, and the destabilizing tension is present. Today, we must be the guarantors, protectors, and defenders of the homeland”, they stated.

They are also convinced that the willingness of heads of state to pool resources within the AES Confederation to better address multisectoral challenges is the best way to achieve the goals and meet the aspirations of the people. An unwavering support for the success of this policy is essential.
