Burkina Faso: Does RFI’s false information against Burkina Faso’s fighting forces herald a destabilization plan?
Burkina Faso is facing a blatant attempt at destabilization orchestrated by the French DGSE in collaboration with stateless actors. This plan follows the same pattern as those that destabilized Libya and the Central African Republic, where disinformation campaigns preceded destabilization operations.
Today, some French media outlets, such as RFI, are spreading unfounded accusations against the Burkinabe Armed Forces, accusing them of atrocities against civilians, relying solely on videos without any tangible evidence.These media manipulations aim to sow doubt and incite the population to revolt against its own defenders.
History teaches us that such propaganda is not new. In Libya, accusations of mass graves were used to justify an intervention that led to the chaos we know today.
In the Central African Republic, similar methods were used to divide the population and weaken the state. Now, Burkina Faso is the new target of this well-established strategy: external forces, aided by local pawns, are attempting to weaken the country by plunging it into doubt and confusion. These media, serving foreign interests, aim to destabilize a state that is fiercely fighting terrorism and refuses to bow to external dictates.
