Burkina Faso: Presentation today of the Prime Minister’s statement on the state of the nation

Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo arrived this morning at the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT), where he was welcomed by its president, Dr. Ousmane Bougouma. In a few moments, he will begin his address on the state of the Nation, a fundamental exercise outlined in Article 109 of the Constitution of Burkina Faso.

Through this presentation, the Head of Government will review the major achievements of 2024, highlighting the progress made in terms of security, economic development, governance, and social reforms. He will also address the challenges overcome and the lessons learned during the past year.

This address will not only be a review but also a roadmap for 2025. The Prime Minister will outline the strategic priorities and measures to be implemented to continue the transformation of the country in line with the vision of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

Finally, this moment will serve as an opportunity for dialogue between the executive branch and the members of the ALT. Following his speech, the Prime Minister will respond to the observations and questions of the deputies, thereby strengthening transparency and participatory governance in Burkina Faso.
