Togo: What you need to know about the major innovations at the Lomé International Fair

«Connecting markets for strong growth in trade» is the theme that will be at the center of the 18th Lomé International Fair, scheduled to take place from November 22nd to December 3rd, 2023, with many innovations in store.

Among the major changes announced by the administration of the Togolese Center for Exhibitions and Fairs (CETEF) is the reduction of the number of days to 12, compared to 18 previously.

According to the Director-General of CETEF, this decision aims to meet international standards and more intensively reconnect the Lomé International Fair to the rest of the world.

«This measure is primarily aimed at boosting commercial activity over a shorter period of time and reducing the operational costs for exhibitors», explained Alexandre De Souza during the launch of the promotional campaign on July 5th in Lomé.

Other innovations are also planned to build on the achievements of the previous editions of the fair.

These include the digitization of entrance tickets, the experimentation of a new customer relationship through the creation of a loyalty program, and the trial of a new visitor circuit to provide greater visibility to all exhibitors.

«In short, we will focus on a qualitative improvement of the exhibitions and visitors», reassured Alexandre De Souza.

Furthermore, during this promotional campaign, the administration of CETEF has planned active communication with its loyal exhibitors through dedicated channels to provide them with real-time information on the organization of these two fairs.

The ambition of the Ministry of Trade and CETEF is to strengthen the governance of this fair and create conditions to be even closer to exhibitors and visitors.
