Niger: General Abdourahamane Tchiani rejects the ECOWAS sanctions and stands firm on his position.

As usual, the new strongman of Niger, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, addressed a message to the nation on the occasion of Niger’s independence celebration. In a direct and clear speech, General Tchiani categorically rejected the imposed sanctions and expressed his determination not to yield to any threats, regardless of their source.

«We refuse any interference in Niger’s internal affairs and firmly reject any attempt to punish the CNSP and the Nigerien people as an example», he declared.

Facing the sanctions and threats from ECOWAS and Western countries, the CNSP will stand strong and not give in.

This is the statement of the leader of the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Homeland, General Abdourahamane Tchiani.

 He also called on Nigeriens to unite and face the difficult weeks and months ahead due to the sanctions.

The military is determined to protect Niger and will not betray the aspirations of the Nigerien people.

 General Tchiani, on the other hand, urged all residents of Niger to maintain calm and respect the law.

In his speech, General Abdourahamane Tchiani also highlighted the social, economic, and cultural challenges that the country had to overcome, including impunity, corruption, clanism, and the collapse of the healthcare system.

 He did not forget to thank Mali and Burkina Faso for their support.
