Lionel Messi and Neymar’s time at Paris Saint-Germain is now a thing of the past. Both players left the Parc des Princes during the summer mercato and have already embarked on new adventures, in the United States and Saudi Arabia respectively.
The Brazilian striker currently plays for Al Hilal, and spoke exclusively to Globo Esporte about his time with the Parisian club. The 31-year-old also spoke about his former Argentinian team-mate.
«I was very happy with the year he [Messi] had, but also very sad, because he experienced both sides of the coin. He realised a dream with Argentina and won everything, but at PSG he went through hell. We both went through it. Messi left PSG in a way that he didn’t deserve from a footballing point of view» he declared.
«Everything he is, everything he does, everyone who knows him, he’s a guy who trains, fights, if he loses, he’s angry and has been unfairly accused. I was very happy that he won the World Cup. Messi deserved to end his career in this way.»
