Burkina Faso’s diplomacy, under the leadership of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabe Abroad, H.E. Madame ROUAMBA, continues to play a dynamic role in diversifying Burkina Faso’s partnerships. This vision is perfectly aligned with President Ibrahim Traoré’s objective of strengthening ties with countries around the world. An example of this diplomatic commitment is the audience granted to the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Mr Ibrahim ELKHOULI, on 08 September 2023 in Ouagadougou.
The Egyptian ambassador brought a message from the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr Sameh CHOUKRI, to his counterpart in Burkina Faso. This message illustrates Egypt’s ongoing commitment to Burkina Faso in these difficult times, particularly with regard to the worrying security situation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabe Abroad, Madame ROUAMBA, warmly welcomed Ambassador ELKHOULI and expressed her gratitude for Egypt’s solidarity with Burkina Faso. This show of support demonstrates the strength of relations between the two nations and their shared desire to strengthen their cooperation.
During this fruitful meeting, the two parties discussed a number of areas in which they wish to deepen their cooperation. In particular, security, education, social protection, public administration management and labour were identified as key areas for enhanced future cooperation. These discussions testify to Burkina Faso’s desire to diversify its partnerships and benefit from Egypt’s expertise and experience in these areas.
This meeting with the Egyptian ambassador clearly demonstrates the dynamism of Burkina Faso’s diplomacy under the leadership of Minister Rouamba. Burkina Faso continues to open up to the world, seeking to establish solid partnerships to meet current and future challenges, while building a prosperous future for its people.
