Burkina Faso/ Captain Ibrahim Traoré: Architect of the return of IDP and peace in the land of honest men

Under the presidency of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso has undergone a remarkable period of transformation in terms of security and stability. One of the most memorable moments of his reign was the signing of the Liptako-Gourma Charter, establishing the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) between Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger. This initiative marks a turning point in the fight against terrorism in the region.

Before President Traoré came to power, Burkina Faso was confronted with frequent terrorist attacks that had caused the loss of dozens or even hundreds of lives each week. However, thanks to his unwavering determination and clear vision of national security, President Traoré has mobilized the necessary resources to counter this growing threat.

Under his leadership, the Burkinabe Security Forces are tracking terrorists wherever they are, which has led to a significant reduction in terrorist attacks. Burkina Faso has begun to regain stability and peace, creating an environment conducive to the return of the displaced population.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré achieved a remarkable feat by allowing 191,937 IDP, who had fled the terrorists’ barbaric acts, to return to their home villages in late August 2023. This achievement demonstrates the President’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of his people and his desire to restore normality in the country.

It is essential to note that the fight against terrorism is an ongoing effort and requires the constant mobilization of the population. The peace and sovereignty of Burkina Faso are objectives that deserve continuous vigilance. The mobilization of the people must not weaken, because it is together that we can build a Burkina Faso of peace, security and prosperity.
