Africa: United Arab Emirates Loans to Finance Energy Transformation

The United Arab Emirates has announced its intention to properly support Africa so that it can make the most of its energy wealth. The Emirati Minister of Climate Change and Environment is considering initiatives to exploit these energy resources to begin a much more innovative development in Africa.

Mariam Almheiri, the Emirati Minister for Climate Change and the Environment, said her country is ready to help Africa by providing the financing and technology necessary for its energy transformation. Indeed, the Gulf country has managed to develop a sum of technology that allows it to strengthen its position as a leader in hydrocarbons and at the same time, a major player in the ecological transition.

The United Arab Emirates wants to actively participate in the development of the African continent. We remember that a few days ago, the UAE authorities notified that a financial envelope of $4.5 billion would be made available to accelerate clean energy projects on the African continent.

The Emirati Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Mariam Almheiri, said, «We put our money where our mouth is, we do what we can to help Africa transform its energy systems»

Africa has immense natural resources that experts say are still underexploited. The United Arab Emirates wants to help the African continent meet its energy challenges and more.
