Burkina Faso: The fight for the reconquest of the Burkinabe national territory under the leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré

The fight for security and the preservation of national sovereignty in Burkina Faso continues with determination under the presidency of Captain Ibrahim Traoré. A recent example of this determination was demonstrated on Thursday 28 September 2023, when airborne vectors inflicted heavy losses on hundreds of terrorists on the move in the Ouargaye region, located in the centre-east of the country, according to security sources.

That day, hundreds of terrorists left their hiding places in the forests of Kankanmogré and Kabonga for a sinister mission. Fortunately, their presence did not go unnoticed. The aerial vectors spotted their movement and followed them to their convergence point, located in a hamlet near Ouargaye.

The airstrikes that followed were precise and devastating, inflicting a severe blow on the enemies of the Burkinabe nation and stopping their evil project. In addition, in the central-northern region, near Silmangué, the aerial surveillance system identified a terrorist base in a hamlet in Pelhoute. A targeted air operation neutralized about fifteen criminals who used a building as headquarters.

These successes are just some of the many examples of Burkina Faso’s continued commitment under the presidency of Ibrahim Traoré to reconquer and secure its territory. The fight for Peace and stability operations continue on all fronts, demonstrating the country’s resilience and unwillingness to yield to the forces of terrorism.

Burkina Faso remains committed to defending its nation and protecting its citizens from threats. With the strong leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré and the dedication of his Fighting Forces, the country is moving forward with determination on the path to peace, security and prosperity for all its inhabitants.
