Burkina Faso/Djibo Attack: The Suspicious Silence of the Regional and International Community

Since the announcement of the terrorist attack against the city of Djibo, valiantly repelled by the fighting forces of Burkina Faso, no reaction from the international community and even the continental community including the AU, the UN, the EU or ECOWAS, which likes to intervene at every turn in the affairs of member countries.

For this case so, no reaction of encouragement or support to the SDF, nor condemnation of this invasion of the thousands of terrorists in the city of Djibo. But if the opposite had happened in Djibo on November 26 and 27, if the attackers had succeeded in their fatal blow, if they had succeeded as planned in neutralizing the fighters and the population, press releases would come out at the minute.

These groups of selfish heads of state, would take the opportunity to nail on the cross the authorities of the transition in Burkina Faso. They and their Media accomplices would go after these soldiers, who have been fighting body and soul since their arrival in power, to secure their country.

In this case, they would be given the opportunity to boast and denigrate the capacity of the country’s authorities. When terrorists massacred civilian populations in the village of Zaongo, in the north-central region of Burkina Faso, these organizations quickly called for investigations. Why not react the same way, when it comes to an act of bravery of the fighters?

This is what should normally be done if these organizations really support the fight against terrorism. This only confirms the suspicions that this regional or international community is against African leaders who are eagerly seeking to liberate their country and Africa in general from the terrorist and neo-colonial yoke.
