Top scorer in the history of national teams and in the Champions League, among other achievements, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to break records. On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, Google recently unveiled some statistics. The American search engine revealed that the Portuguese international is the most searched athlete since its creation.
The debate over the past two decades has revolved around who is the best between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. While the Argentine has more Ballon d’Or awards (8) than his Portuguese rival, the latter also holds numerous records. The 38-year-old forward, who has played for Manchester United, Juventus, and Real Madrid, has just broken another one.
Indeed, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, Google recently revealed some statistics. Through a tweet, the American search engine unveiled that Cristiano Ronaldo is the most searched athlete in its history. Furthermore, Google also disclosed that football is the most searched sport in the world.
