Burkina Faso / President Ibrahim Traoré asserts leadership in times of crisis: Adoption of a decree for the management of public-sector employees

During Friday’s council of ministers, President Ibrahim Traoré once again demonstrated his commitment to the well-being of the Burkinabè people in the adoption of a strategic decree. This decree, outlining the modalities for managing state employees in situations of security crises, attests to the government’s determination to address the challenges posed by security disturbances in certain regions of Burkina Faso.

The current security crisis has adverse effects on the normal functioning of public administrations, thereby depriving citizens of access to essential public services. Aware of this reality, President Traoré and his government have devised a human resources management strategy specifically designed to tackle the challenges posed by the security crisis.

The adoption of this decree aims to regulate the management of public servants in these difficult situations with the goal of ensuring the continuity of public services. It represents a significant step forward in implementing concrete measures to address the operational challenges arising from the security crisis.

One of the key outcomes of this decision is the availability of regulatory texts governing the management of state employees during periods of security crisis. This will facilitate transparent and efficient human resources management, even in challenging circumstances.

This initiative is part of the broader reforms undertaken by President Traoré to address the urgent needs of the population and ensure the stability of the country. By adopting specific measures for human resources management during a crisis, the government demonstrates its commitment to the Burkinabè people, showcasing a strategic vision to overcome current challenges.
