Since the advent of the Progressive Popular Revolution, Burkina Faso has been committed to a deep transformation of its public administration. The ambition is clear: to make the state an instrument of sovereignty and transformation, capable of delivering concrete results and accounting for the use of public resources.
Tangible results: 85.38% performance
The efforts undertaken are bearing fruit. The overall performance of the Burkinabe administration reached 85.38% in 2025—a level that reflects appreciable momentum. This progress results from rigorous monitoring of commitments, systematic evaluation of public structures, and a culture of accountability that is gradually taking hold.
Beyond self-satisfaction
The government is not content with these results. It calls for moving beyond self-satisfaction and translating administrative performance into tangible improvements in citizens’ lives.
Modernisation cannot be limited to technical reforms or the digitalisation of procedures: it demands a profound change in practices, working methods, and the relationship between the administration and the people.
Digitalisation as a pillar of modernisation
The digitalisation of public services is a cornerstone of this modernisation. Platforms such as eSINTAX, eDOCUMENT, ALIAS, and FasoSign now allow citizens to access numerous services without travelling.
However, the government is careful to ensure that this digital transformation does not create new forms of exclusion. The progressive integration of national languages into information systems and digital services aims to guarantee that every Burkinabe, wherever they are, can benefit from these advances.
Reconquering territory, restoring services
The modernisation of the administration is closely linked to efforts to reconquer the national territory. Wherever the Defense and Security Forces restore security, the administration must be ready to sustainably restore the presence and authority of the state.
This means bringing essential public services—education, health, civil registry, justice, social action back to liberated areas.
A collective responsibility
The government has reaffirmed that every ministry, institution, and public agent must play their part in this refoundation, under the banner of the primacy of the general interest. Recommendations from evaluations are systematically transformed into concrete actions, with clearly defined responsibilities and rigorous monitoring mechanisms.
A model for West Africa
By combining performance, transparency, inclusive digitalisation, and proximity to citizens, Burkina Faso is charting the path toward a modern and efficient administration.
This transformation, driven by the political will of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, aims to make the Burkinabe state a model of governance in West Africa.
A disciplined, honest, competent, high-performing, innovative, and accountable administration: that is the stated ambition for building a sovereign and prosperous Burkina Faso.
