Burkina Faso: Corruption, another evil to fight at all costs after terrorism according to President Traoré

In recent hours, Burkinabé combat forces have achieved remarkable feats, thwarting dozens of terrorists in the areas of the three borders, in the Boucle du Mouhoun, and in the east of the country.Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s country has reached the stage of war, as announced by President Traoré earlier this year. With the arsenal of war provided to the Ministry of Defense and Veterans, the country is engaged in an intense battle against terrorists already in disarray.

The increased strength of the defense and security forces and volunteers for the defense of the homeland is the result of the people’s commitment, the sacrifice of the Volunteer Defense Forces (VDP), the determination of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), and the will of Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

As a visionary and unwavering head of state, President Traoré, after the fierce fight against terrorism, is now waging war against another evil plaguing Burkinabé society : « corruption » in public administration. To wage this war, the legislative power has adopted laws providing for sanctions against those involved in corruption. Additionally, chronic absenteeism and administrative slowness are also phenomena to be combated.

According to him, the current context in Burkina Faso requires the effective management of financial and human resources. Therefore, the top Burkinabé official intends to impose sanctions on those Burkinabé workers unworthy of their title, addressing issues such as corruption and administrative inefficiency.
