CAN 2024: Morocco, a start without shaking against Tanzania

Morocco won against Tanzania on Wednesday 17 January for their first pool match in group F (3-0). Captain Romain Saïss opened the scoring in the first period before Azzedine Ounahi doubled the bet. Youssef En-Nesyri scored the third goal of the game.

In San Pedro, the largest cocoa port in the world, Morocco and its huge sign in the back launched its Africa Cup of Nations against the modest team of Tanzania (third final phase of its history), led by its captain Mbwana Aly Samatta.

Before the start of Group F, only Senegal really held its favorite rank by easily beating The Gambia (3-0).  The reigning African champions assured, and even showed the world their new pearl Lamine Camara, just 20 years old, author of a double.

The Morocco of Achraf Hakimi, Hakim Ziyech or Yassine Bounou, had to start the competition without a hitch. The Atlas Lions, announced as the biggest favourites of the competition, will certainly be the subject of all the comments since their semi-final in the World Cup in Qatar.
