CAN 2023 : Cameroon qualify against Gambia in a crazy match (3-2)

In great danger before the last day of the first round of the African Cup of Nations, Cameroon obtained this Tuesday, January 23 in Bouaké, the result it needed to survive in this group C.

Victorious at the end of a crazy game of the Gambia (3-2), the Cameroonians will see the last 16, like Senegal and Guinea, first and third in the pool after the success of the Lions (2-0).

What a crazy match for Cameroon, who at the end of the suspense, ends up winning a decisive game against Gambia and qualifies for the next round of the CAN.

Whether it was on one side or the other, the draw was to be avoided to have a chance to leave this group C.

The first period however was a little timid on the part of the Indomitable Lions, with not a lot of opportunities to get under the teeth, a single shot in the first 45 minutes, however they put more foot on the ball than their opponents of the evening.

It started well with a clear opportunity from the first minutes of the game, when Frank Magri hit in the penalty area (5th), unfortunately it lacks a bit of power to defeat Gaye, who makes a nice save.
