AES : Support for transitional regimes, Burkina Faso and Mali parliamentarians consult each other

In the Liptako-Gourma region, the members (AES) of the Burkina Faso parliament and their counterparts from Mali are consulting closely to enhance parliamentary cooperation, with the aim of effectively supporting the actions of the transitional authorities in various priority areas.

Having landed in Ouagadougou on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, the Malian parliamentary delegation, after meeting with the President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly, is expected to engage in multiple exchange meetings and share experiences with various committees of the Burkinabè parliament on various topics of common interest.

As a reminder, recommendations were formulated following various exchange meetings between experts and ministers of the Sahel States Alliance (AES), aiming to pool efforts to address major challenges in the areas of security, socio-economic development, diplomacy, as well as politics.

For the effective implementation of these recommendations in the AES zone and the success of the policies and strategies of the transitional authorities, parliamentarians intend to unite to provide strong support to the transitional presidents. These parliamentary discussions will take place over a week, during which conclusions are expected to be drawn.
