Togo : Kara now boasts a brand new and Modern scientific high school

The scientific high school in Kara, in a new setting, has been officially operational since January 30, 2024, according to information provided by the Ministry of Education. This official opening crowns several months of work designed and carried out by Togolese engineers.

The scientific high school in Kara is equipped with modern facilities, allowing teachers and students to benefit from a more comfortable and conducive learning environment since January 30.

The new school features classrooms with interactive whiteboards, well-equipped laboratories, quality computer equipment, a multimedia building, a pedagogical block, a documentation and information center, as well as a boarding system for students.

As of now, Togo has two scientific high schools (two large scientific complexes, in Lomé and Kara). It is worth noting that the country has had its first scientific high school since 2015.

It is expected that the construction work for the seven other scientific high schools will start soon, according to the ambitions of the Togolese authorities to provide each of the seven educational regions with a scientific complex. The objective is to improve students’ training in the practice of sciences and facilitate their orientation towards scientific and engineering fields.
