Burkina Faso : Corruption, fraud, etc.., President Ibrahim Traoré uncompromising against these failings
The Head of State, President Ibrahim Traoré, is unwavering on the subject. The fight led by President Traoré against terrorism upon taking office is the same as the one initiated against corruption, embezzlement of funds, and other such ills that have long plagued the administration, the military, and many other sectors.
At every encounter with the people, President Ibrahim consistently addresses the issue, thus warning anyone tempted to commit these serious offenses that go against civic values and hinder the reconquest of the territory and the new momentum injected by Ibrahim Traoré into public affairs. This reflects his determination and commitment to establish good governance in the land of honest men.
Therefore, it is necessary to weed out the bad seeds to prevent them from contaminating others.
Four soldiers have paid the price for their misconduct. They have been dismissed from the ranks of the Burkinabe armed forces for « arms trafficking, fraud, theft, and receiving stolen property, including military equipment ». They are Ousseni Tassembedo, Mevis Armel Bamogo, Roger Ouédraogo, and Souleymane Nessao.
Since January, President Traoré has been uncompromising in the face of these shortcomings. These four soldiers bring the total number of military personnel dismissed from the defense and security forces to six.
